Luxury Watches
This project is a mobile app for managing and exploring a personal watch collection, combining information, usage metrics, and tools designed for watch enthusiasts.

We aimed for a clean, elegant interface that reflected the collection's attention to detail.

Context
Collecting watches, especially luxury pieces, means keeping track of each item's specifications and value, as well as its documentation and usage history.
The client approached Hard Fork to develop a tool for centralizing and managing a watch collection. It was aimed at affluent adults in major cities who pay close attention to their watches.
Problem
Managing an extensive collection meant organizing information on every piece, tracking its use, and keeping documentation and other relevant records.
Objective
Centralize collection information, make it easier to track each watch and its use, and provide tools that support maintenance.
Approach
An app combining collection management, usage metrics, watchmaking tools, and gamification.

Challenge
The experience had to organize a large amount of information without losing the collection's attention to detail. Users needed quick access to each piece's data, but also a more active relationship with their collection through usage tracking, metrics, and dedicated tools.
Research
We examined other watch collection and management apps and studied the intended audience. From this research, we defined a user profile that considered collectors' habits, interests, and relationship with their watches.
That helped us determine which information mattered and how to structure it within the experience, taking into account each watch's specifications, value, condition, and use.
Solution
We explored different ways to organize and present the collection, testing layouts and card types to display a wealth of information without losing clarity.
We sought a clean, elegant interface suited to the user and the character of the watches themselves. The experience centers on the collection, with overview and detail views, value and usage metrics, documentation, insurance, and warranty information. We also added tools to synchronize watches accurately and record performance data, along with wearing suggestions, rankings, and badges to make the experience more engaging.

Results
We designed an iOS app that lets users add watches manually or identify them with the camera, bringing information about the entire collection into one place.
The result combines information and documentation for each piece, value and usage metrics, precision tools, and gamified features in a single experience.
